Il 28 e 29 Marzo scorsi siamo stati a Roma per partecipare al lancio della call for makers per la prossima Maker Faire Rome ed all’Arduino Day.
I due eventi si sono svolti all’interno del Tempio di Adriano, a Piazza di Pietra:
On March 28th and 29th we were in Rome to take part in the launch of the call for makers for next Maker Faire Rome and to Arduino Day.
Both of the events took place inside the Temple of Hadrian, in Piazza di Pietra:

Si prosegue con il workshop di Moreno “CYOPS: Create Your Own Pressure Sensor”, per il quale ci assegnano una semplice sala affrescata con soffitto a cassettoni dorato ed un tavolino da lavoro in cui alcune cose sono andate perse perché erano state spinte verso il centro, quindi ormai irraggiungibili da umani di dimensioni normali 🙂
Il workshop è stato seguito con interesse e divertimento, tutti hanno creato il loro sensore e l’hanno testato in vari modi che Moreno aveva predisposto con grande fantasia.
The day continued with a workshop by Moreno: “CYOPS: Create Your Own Pressure Sensor”. For the workshop we were given a modest room painted with frescoes and decorated with a gilded coffered ceiling; we lost some things on the work table as it was so huge that a normal sized human could not reach its center 🙂
The workshop was interesting and fun, everybody created its own sensor and tested it on several devices which Moreno had prepared with great imagination.
Tornati nella sala principale, si sono susseguiti una serie di interessanti interventi di presentazione della prossima Maker Faire Rome. Nel frattempo il pubblico gironzolava tra le varie postazioni.
Once we were back in the main hall, many spokesmen and spokeswomen gave life to an interesting conference to introduce next Maker Faire Rome. In the meanwhile, people strolled among the stands.
Il giorno dopo, per l’Arduino Day dei 10 anni di Arduino, la sala centrale è stata liberata dalle sedie e si è riempita di espositori coi loro progetti.
Sono arrivati anche ARTURo, alla sua seconda partecipazione, ma dotato stavolta di nuove capacità per riconoscere i tag della realtà aumentata e muoversi autonomamente alla loro ricerca:
The day after, for Arduino’s 10th anniversary Arduino Day, the chairs in the main hall left their place to many exhibitors and their projects.
There also came ARTURo, for the second year at the event, but now equipped with an AR marker detector that lets it go find the markers on its own (unmanned!):

L’Insettoteca, strategicamente posizionata all’ingresso dello Spazio Espositivo sotto la cura di Francesco, ha concentrato su di sé l’attenzione di molti visitatori e si è guadagnata inviti ad altri eventi.
I robot caotici, nella nuova versione con Arduino, erano immediatamente visibili ai visitatori dall’ingresso costituendo anch’essi una grande attrazione e hanno dato un bel da fare ad Andrea, Marco, Roberto e Fabio. Il momento culminante è stato raggiunto quando allo show dei piccoli robot si è unito anche ARTURo.
Francesco took care of Insettoteca, that was strategically placed at the entrance of the Exhibitors Hall. It attracted many visitors’ attention and earned invitations to further events.
Chaotic robots, in the new Arduino equipped version, were immediately visible to visitors from the temple entrance and their show was a big attraction as well: they kept Andrea, Marco, Roberto and Fabio very busy. The acme was reached when ARTURo joined them.
