Il 22 Febbraio si è tenuto il secondo CoderDojo a Terni, dal titolo “Il mio primo videogioco”.
Eravamo nella sede del CAOS ed hanno partecipato 14 ragazzi, dai 7 ai 12 anni, venuti da Terni, Perugia e Rieti.
On 22nd February we held our second CoderDojo in Terni, “My First Videogame”.
We were at CAOS and 14 young coders, aged 7 to 12, from Terni, Perugia and Rieti, attended the event.
La lezione era su Scratch: alcuni ragazzi avevano già partecipato al primo incontro, ma la maggior parte era al suo primo Dojo. Rispetto alla prima volta sono stati introdotti nuovi concetti che i nostri avventurosi programmatori hanno subito fatto propri e tutti hanno potuto programmare un semplice videogioco da personalizzare.
The programming language today was Scratch: some of the kids had already taken part in the first meeting, but most of them were at their first Dojo. We introduced new concepts that our adventurous programmers immediately made their own and all of them could program a simple videogame to personalize.
Nel rispetto dello spirito del CoderDojo, anche i genitori presenti sono stati al fianco dei piccoli ninja della programmazione e li hanno sostenuti nella pratica.
In compliance with the CoderDojo spirit, the parents were at their little ninjas’ side and supported them in their practice.
Poter realizzare da sé un videogioco funzionante è stato molto gratificante per tutti i ragazzi: alla fine molti hanno manifestato il desiderio di ripetere l’esperienza, e questo è quello che ha gratificato noi mentor!
All of the kids were greatly pleased to realize their own videogame themselves: many of them expressed the wish to come back for another meeting, and this is what pleased us mentors!
Abbiamo fatto un primo tentativo di collegarci in hangout anche con le altre sedi in cui si tenevano Dojo in contemporanea (Firenze e Parma), ma abbiamo avuto qualche problema tecnico. In compenso si è unita a noi in hangout inaspettatamente Agnese del CoderDojo Roma, che ci ha fatto una gradita sorpresa!

We did our first try to connect with the other places where Dojos were held in Italy on Saturday afternoon (Florence and Parma), but we encountered technical problems. On the other hand we joined in an unexpected hangout with Agnese from CoderDojo Roma, who made us a nice surprise!
